For the 4th year in a row, Chestnut Hill, PA and Weavers Way Co-op team up to honor our furry friends along Germantown Avenue for Petapalooza. There will be a number of fun activities for both pets and their humans including paw readers, pet caricaturists, a petting zoo, arts & crafts activities, a bouncy house and more.
Don’t have a pet? Here’s your chance to find one! Pet rescue organizations will be on site like the PASPCA, the Bling Dog Rescue Alliance, The Philly Kitty, New Leash on Life and Tiny Paws Rescue with animals looking for permanent homes.
Thirsty? Head over to the Chestnut Hill Brewing Company Garden (behind the Chestnut Hill Hotel) which will also allow pets to bring their favorite humans along for drafts in the sunshine. (They are also participating in “Yappy Hour.”)
Perhaps your furry friend loves art. Make their tail wag with a trip to Woodmere Art Museum (9201 Germantown Ave.), which will host “Pet Walk with Art,” an outdoor tour of the museum grounds and sculpture garden starting at 2 p.m.
After the main Petapalooza event, there will be a special “Yappy Hour” offered by participating Chestnut Hill bars and restaurants like Chestnut Hill Grill, El Poquito and Paris Bistro beginning at 3 p.m.
