While most of Philadelphia’s sports teams are in the proverbial toilet, the city is competing for the best toilet in the country.
Seriously.
Well, close to the city. The public restrooms at Longwood Gardens in Chester County are on a short list for the best public restrooms in the country. The public votes in the winner, and the voting ends on Halloween.
What sets the Longwood Gardens restrooms a part are its well-lit corridor and its leaf-covered walls.
According to Cinta, which is hosting the contest, the 17 restrooms “are part of the largest indoor ‘Green Wall’ in North America! The staff at Longwood worked with artist Kim Wilkie on an unprecedented feat of bathroom architecture.”
And each of the bathroom “pods” features a skylight.
