Philadelphia Marketplace open air market returns to Dilworth for fall season

As the fall air begins to return to the Greater Philadelphia area, the Philadelphia Marketplace also returns to Dilworth Park. Every Friday and Saturday, Sept. 6 through Oct. 5, a variety of local vendors from crafters to designers to small businesses will showcase their arts, crafts, and much more.

The annual end-of-summer and early fall outdoor pop-up showcase is organized by Christmas Village in Philadelphia, in partnership with Center City District, and will feature a rotating list of vendors throughout its month-long festivities.

Whether you’re looking for modern artwork, candles and soaps, clothing, coffee, or other distinctive arts and crafts, the Philadelphia Marketplace provides something for everyone, even if you’re simply looking for a stroll to enjoy the open air on cool Fall(ish) day.

Among the vendors will be Appleville Treats (plant-based dog treats), Bees & Wax Soap & Candle Company (all natural soaps, candles, and bath products), Ellaful (pressed flower art and decor), Esenlik (art, photography, crafts), Everlands Everything (lavender products including sprays, flowers and more), Fanta Toure (African art, crafts, and baskets), Hopes Caramels (caramel candies), Joiful Bee (hair accessories and tools for curly hair), Kurious Stitches (crochet products), Lily Lough Jewelry (design jewelry and accessories), Skyseed Energy (gemstone jewelry), Swan Delectables (pastries and other treats), T&B Luxe (beauty and skincare products), and even more to be announced.

“The Philadelphia Marketplace at Dilworth Park is an annual tradition and the second half of our event kicks off at the end of summer and early fall season in Philadelphia,” said Project Manager Ronja Baumann. “Everyone is back from the shore and back to the office in Center City, and we can’t wait to introduce a great artisan line-up for this September, with something for everyone. There will be gifts, household goods, yummy treats, jewelry, and more – including some fun things for kids. This is the first of our three big markets between now and the end of the year – and we can’t wait to see everyone out there shopping.”

Those looking for parking can receive an exclusive discount at the Love Park Self-Park Garage, located directly across from Dilworth Park, through the iParkit app. Attendees can use program code MADEINPHILA to receive a 20% discount on their first five parking stays.

The Philadelphia Marketplace will be open every Friday and Saturday from noon to 6 p.m. beginning Sept. 6 and running through Oct. 5.
