Phillies tickets just $6 on StubHub, secondary market sites

The Phillies are out of playoff contention, but there are still a bevy of reasons to go to the ballpark.

Aside from some pretty immaculate weather — with first pitch in the low 70s and sunny skies — a handful of names have finally taken to the field with regularity and the results have been promising.

Rookie standout Rhys Hoskins has hit home runs at a fascinating clip and could be the future at first base. J.P. Crawford, the top prospect in the entire organization, finally took to the field in the majors for the first time. The hopeful catcher of the future, Jorge Alfaro, is expected to start at catcher for most of the rest of the season. And the youthful starting pitching corps boasts Aaron Nola, Nick Pivetta, Jake Thompson and others.

The team will be at Citizens Bank Park for 16 of their final 19 games this season (hosting the Marlins, Athletics, Dodgers, Nationals and Mets) and if you look on the secondary market for tickets you’ll be shocked. StubHub.com has tickets for just $6 for all remaining home games. Paying retail on the Phillies website is also affordable and saves a little cash in fees — that you’ll pay on secondary sites.

However, most MLB teams offer the same discounted prices during this stretch of the year. The Nationals, having clinched the NL East last week, are in the midst of one of the best seasons in franchise history, yet Groupon.com boasts a $16 ticket deal for select remaining home games.

With the NFL underway and the always dramatic MLB playoffs still about three and a half weeks away, the final few series’ are often overlooked as great chances to see the stars of the future on the field facing big league competition after rosters expand to 40 men.

For just six bucks, seeing Nick Williams slugging in the five-hole and Odubel Herrera speeding around in the outfield is one of the best steals in town.

Because, as the Phillies hope, if all goes according to plan, it will be much more expensive to get your hands on a ticket at CBP sometime soon.
