That all starts with a win in tonight’s game, but will they be able to bring it home?

Spencer Turnbull (1-0, 1.85 ERA) vs Garrett Crochet (0-0, 3.57 ERA)
Spencer Turnbull takes the mound for the Phillies in tonight’s game. He’s registered a 6.52 ERA through 9.1 innings in games against Chicago (as a Tiger) but is off to a much better start in Philly. Prior to a wobble against the Pirates, Turnbull had only allowed 1 run through 11 innings of 2024, striking out 13 in the process. He’ll be looking to build on that against a Chicago side batting just .196 to start the year.
Across from Turnbull will be Garrett Crochet, who has allowed 9 runs through 22 innings to start this season. He’s been dinged for 3+ hits in each of his appearances thus far, but has been a strikeout machine and has an impressive 3.57 ERA. He’ll need to bring his best stuff to silence a surging Philly offense.
The Phillies are beginning to ignite offensively and that’s bad news for a White Sox side ranking 23rd in ERA up to this point. A sweep against the Rockies will have given the Phils a real boost coming into this series, and they are of course still playing at home which should also play into their favor. It’s hard to fade a resurgent Phillies team against a struggling Chicago group that has only won 3 out of 18 games, and is 1-6 on the road this season.
Nick Castellanos could be an ideal candidate to bet behind tonight in terms of prop betting. He hasn’t recorded a hit in 3 games but a struggling White Sox Bullpen might change that. He’s priced at -190 to record a hit, and +450 for a home run.
