To celebrate like a true Parisian, here are a few ways to enjoy Bastille Day in Philly.

The Good King Tavern

Down on South Street, The Good King Tavern will be celebrating Bastille Day in Philadelphia with a block party on Sunday, July 13. From noon to 6 p.m., the venue will be serving up “Frenchie food”, wine and cocktails for both indoor dining and at their outdoor tent. The party will also feature a face painter, balloon artist, a raffle, street games, live DJs and more.

Parc Rittenhouse

This hotspot always goes all out for the occasion, and 2025 will be no different. On Monday, July 14, locals can indulge in an on-site ice cream cart serving up macarons and Pâte à Choux (a puff pastry ice cream sandwich featuring Tahitian vanilla ice cream, raspberry jam, and sprinkles) from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The day will also feature live music, family-friendly entertainment, and festive French treats starting at noon. Other highlights sprinkled throughout the day include face painters, a photo booth, stilt walkers, performances by Drew Nugent & The Midnight Society and Parc’s fan-favorite Froze (which is only served on Bastille Day every year.)

Alliance Française partners with Philadelphie Accueil

Those looking to commemorate Bastille Day in Philly this year can head to a family-friendly picnic with the Alliance Française partners on Sunday, July 13. From 2 to 5 p.m., the fun will be in full swing in FDR Park’s Picnic Area #19 and will feature live entertainment, a cafe waiters’ race and other games.

The next day (July 14), locals can also join in on a flag raising ceremony at 11 a.m. at City Hall, or head to a benefit dinner at the Valley Green Inn from 6 to 9 p.m.

Café Click

Café Click is celebrating the holiday with a pop-up with St. Dalfour Fruit Spreads and Juliette Peach Liqueur. The former is artisan-made in France just south of Bordeaux, and the latter is made in France with peaches grown and cultivated in France’s Rhone Valley. On July 14, locals can head to the venue from 4 to 8 p.m. to check out live jazz, a complimentary build-your-own bouquet bar (while supplies last), and exclusive menu items.

The activation will also feature jam samples and giveaways from St. Dalfour’s “jam trike” and specialty cocktails from Juliette Peach Liqueur’s cocktail cart. This event is free and open to the public.

Forsythia

This French-focused locale will be celebrating Bastille Day in Philly with an extended happy hour featuring Parisian-focused food and drink specials—including tempura frog legs served with fennel marmalade and Aleppo pepper. Those who can’t make it early in the evening can also catch Forsythia’s chef Christopher Kearse at Next of Kin beginning at 9 p.m. on July 14 to celebrate.

Sofitel Philadelphia at Rittenhouse Square

There are a few ways to celebrate the occasion at Sofitel. On Monday, July 14, visitors can nab Unlimited French Fries for $17.89 (in honor of the year Bastille Day was created) for the table at the Liberté Lounge. The space will also be serving up riffs on a French 75 cocktail, including the Liberté ($10, pear-infused Tito’s Vodka, St. Germain, lemon, and sparkling wine), and the Twist Royale ($20, made with Hennessy VS Cognac, Calvados, apricot, lemon, absinthe, and Pommery Brut Champagne.)

Visitors can also sip on a variety of French sparkling wines and champagne at a discounted price. The Parisian fun continues on later in the week at the venue as well with the start of Champagne & Vinyl Thursdays (launching July 17.) The recurring weekly event (taking place 4:30 to 8 p.m. in the Liberté Lounge) features live entertainment, all-you-can-eat French fries, happy hour-priced oysters, and select bubbles by the glass and sparkling cocktails. Reservations are available on OpenTable, but walk-ins are encouraged.
