The Philly Bike Ride is slated for Saturday, Oct. 19, and is expected to welcome more than 7,000 riders to the beloved event.
Perfect for first-time riders and avid cyclists alike, participants of all ages and riding abilities can pedal through Philly’s heart and history with this unique opportunity to explore local neighborhoods, landmarks, and scenic skyline views in a completely car-free environment.
Philly Bike Ride has been pivotal in making biking more accessible for local residents and promoting bike safety. A portion of proceeds from the event will support the Bicycle Coalition of Greater Philadelphia and their Youth Cycling Program (BCYC). Bike rentals are available for those who don’t own a bike or out of town visitors.

The ride offers snacks, drinks and live music along the way, as cyclists pass through historic landmarks and neighborhoods such as Independence Hall, City Hall, LOVE Park, Chinatown, Old City, Penn’s Landing and Boathouse Row on Kelly Drive. Riders can choose between a 20-mile course or a shorter 7.6-mile version, both ending at the Philadelphia Museum of Art. The event concludes with a free post-ride festival, featuring live music, a movement zone with wellness activities, food trucks, a beer garden, and more.
