With the holidays upon us, many city offices will be closed and SEPTA is altering its schedules.

City closings:
All city offices will be closed on Christmas Day.
Trash pick-up is suspended for the day and people whose collection day is Friday are asked to put out their trash on Saturday.
According to the office of the city representative, the closures include “allCity District Health Centers;allDepartment of Licenses and Inspections offices; the North and Northeast Municipal Service Centers; the Marriage License Bureau; all Department of Recreation facilities; the Free Library of Philadelphia and all of its branches and the executive offices of the Philadelphia Parking Authority, as well as its Violations branch, at 9th and Filbert streets.”

SEPTA schedule changes for Christmas:
-On Christmas Eve, eight fewer Regional Rail line trainswill be operating between 4:50and 6:03p.m. Those trains were rescheduled to a 12 p.m. – 1 p.m. midday schedule.
Visit SEPTA.org to find out which regular trains are not operating.
-The Market-Frankford Line and Broad Street Line will be operate overnight from Thursday, Dec. 24 into Friday, Dec. 25.
-On Christmas Day, all SEPTA service will operate on a Sunday/holiday schedule.
-On Saturday, Dec. 26, regular weekend service will be in place. Extra Broad Street Line trains are scheduled beginning at 6 p.m. onSunday, Dec. 27 for the Eagles game against the Redskins.
-City transit and suburban buses are operating on a modified schedule the week of Monday, Dec. 28 to Thursday, Dec. 31. Visit SEPTA.org to see the modified holiday schedule.
