Looking to celebrate Halloween with your family? Here’s the scoop on local tricks and treats.
This family-friendly activation comes from the Philadelphia School of Circus Arts and will take place on Friday, Oct. 27, and Saturday, Oct. 28, from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. The night will feature fire performances and an adult and youth student circus variety show—costumes are encouraged. Tickets run for $15 for adults and $10 for youth (ages 17 and under), while tickets at the door are $20 for adults and $15 for youth.

Halloween is right around the corner, and the South Street Headhouse District is celebrating this weekend by hosting its annual Pumpkinfest, which will take place Saturday, Oct. 28, from noon to 4 p.m.
The family-friendly event (which will take over the Headhouse Shambles at 2nd and Pine streets) will feature themed arts and crafts, plenty of candy, different food and drink options from neighborhood businesses, free pumpkin decorating, circus performances, and a costume contest. The latter will include four categories: 5 and under, 6 to 10 years, 11 and over, and families.
And, as a release states, PumpkinFest also coincides with Trick-or-Treating in the South Street Headhouse District, which is free to participate (and anyone can attend.) To make it a bit easier, physical and digital maps will be available to help guide Trick-or-Treaters on and around South Street, and participating businesses will have pumpkin signs in their windows as well.
Bring the whole family out to this Halloween-themed activation at Positano Coast this Sunday, Oct. 29. The brunch will run from 11:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. and will feature themed cocktails, selfie and photo stations, food features and brunch tunes “with a twist.” Philadelphians can come in costume, or just come to enjoy the food and ambiance.

On Saturday, Oct. 28, Fall Fest & Spooky Saturday on East Passyunk will be in full swing from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. According to a release, this all-ages festival is filled with costumed fun for children, adults and pets, in addition to trick-or-treating and sidewalk sales at various locales, mini grab-and-go pumpkins, 80+ craft vendors, square dancing lessons, live music, spirited fare, libations, and much more.
As a release states, families can come out in costume (kids and adults) and celebrate the spooky season with some tricks and treats, music and entertainment, and farm fresh shopping on Saturday, Oct. 28. The fun starts right at 10 a.m. with Lolly Hopwood and Friends (music, movement and imagination), followed by the Costume Parade at 11 a.m. Trick or treating starts at 10 a.m. and runs until 2 p.m. (or while supplies last).
