“Liberty Point is back for a big second season as one of the top spots for summertime fun,” said owner Avram Hornik. “We are proud to be one of the largest waterfront and outdoor destinations in the tri-state region. For year two, there is something going on every week from concerts, fairs, food, drink, events, private parties and so much more.
“We are so thankful for everyone’s support from our debut and we are thrilled to be part of what we hope to be one of Philly’s largest summers ever on the waterfront.”
For entertainment, guests can grab a seat in front of Liberty Point’s permanent stage. Entertainment is scheduled weekly and will feature live music Friday, Saturday and Sundays with DJs throughout the week. The full entertainment schedule can be found online at www.libertypointphilly.com/calendar.
For food, Executive Chef Miguel Hernadez debuts a completely revamped culinary program that also maintains the same emphasis on local produce, casual flare, and big flavors. Guests can expect a Mexican-Philadelphia style menu, with a special seafood flare and a variety of gluten-free and vegetarian options. Stand out dishes include Lobster Quesadilla (Monterey jack cheese, fresh corn, poblanos, onions, sour cream), vegan Poblano and Potato Tacos (avocado salsa verde, pickled onion), Chorizo “Chopped Cheese” (shaved lettuce, cilantro, chipotle mayo, queso chihuahua, long roll), and the Crab-Dip Empanadas (crab, poblano, potato, cream cheese).
Liberty Point is located at 211 S. Columbus Blvd., adjacent to the Independence Seaport Museum. Now open for the season, daily operating hours are noon to 2 a.m. Reservations are encouraged during dining hours. For information, visit www.libertypointphilly.com.
