Philly Police Catch Suspect in 14 Burglaries, Thanks to Email Tip

Police have captured a suspect in fourteen commercial burglaries, thanks to surveillance footage released on the department’s YouTube channel and a subsequent email tip submitted to phillypolice.com.

Curtis Hairston, 51, of the 5000 block of Walnut Lane in West Oak Lane, was taken into custody August 5. He will be charged with burglary and related offenses.

Philadelphia Police have been pushing various technology initiatives that aid in investigations, most recently with their SafeCam program.
