Philly police ID suspect in hit-and-run case that killed toddler

Philadelphia police are hunting a man they believe is responsible for a hit-and-run incident that killed a two-year-old boy in April.

Law enforcement issued an arrest warrant for Miguel Colon, 22, for his alleged involvement in the fatal April 13 crash. a 19-year-old mother and her young son, David Aliea, were struck while crossing the street near Lehigh Avenue and Mascher Street around 7 p.m. that night.

Colon, the alleged driver, fled the scene, police said.

The woman survived, but the child later died at St. Christopher’s Hospital.

There is a $20,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of Colon, police said.
