A potential serial predator is wanted by Philadelphia police after the latest in a string of assaults on women turned deadly.
Little is known about the suspect: He’s approximately 30 to 35 years old, rides a black and blue mountain bike in the Kensington area and has been targeting prostitutes, according to CBS3. On Saturday night, the suspect approached the victim at Cumberland and Jasper streets, and shortly thereafter, brutally attacked her.
“Some type of deal was made with the individual,” Philadelphia Police Capt. James Clark said.”We know they went to the back of a location and during that time, he beat her. He stabbed her multiple times and she was able to run from that location, but she collapsed and succumbed to her injuries.” Police recovered a knife and a brick as possible murder weapons.
The suspect is thought to have also beaten and sexually assaulted two or three other victims dating back to April.
Police are warning women in the Kensington area to be alert until the suspect is caught.
