City announces road closures, transit changes for Philly Pride March and Festival

Get ready for a weekend bursting with love, music, and community as the Philly Pride March and Festival returns to Center City this Sunday. The celebration kicks off with the Pride March beginning at 11 a.m. that winds through the heart of the city, culminating in a daylong Philly Pride Festival.

Philly Pride March route

All participants in the Philly Pride March will assemble at 6th and Walnut streets beginning at 10 a.m. The march will commence at 11 a.m., starting at 6th and Walnut, and proceeding northbound on 6th Street to Walnut Street, westbound on Walnut Street to 10th Street, southbound on 10th Street to Locust Street, and ending at 1100 Locust Street. The march is scheduled to conclude at noon.

Philly Pride Festival

Immediately following the march, the Philly Pride Festival begins. The festival will take place from noon to 7 p.m. Philly Pride 2025 is a street festival celebrating the LGBTQ+ community and will feature community resources, youth and family programming, a low-sensory relaxation zone, and a sober space and dry bar area.

Road closures

The following streets will be closed starting at 6 a.m. until approximately 9 p.m. on Sunday, June 1: Juniper Street (from Walnut to Cypress); Cypress Street (from Juniper to 12th Street); 12th and 13th streets (from Walnut to Pine); 11th Street (from Pine to Spruce); Quince Street (from Walnut to Pine); Walnut, Locust, Pine and Spruce streets (from Broad Street to 11th); Chancellor Street (from Juniper to 12th); St. James Street (from 13th to 12th); S. Camac Street (from Walnut to Pine); Irving Street (from Juniper to 13th); and Schubert Alley and Manning Street (from S. Camac Street to 12th).

These streets will be posted as “Temporary No Parking” zones. Vehicles parked in these locations during posted hours will be relocated. If you believe your car has been relocated, call the police district of the area where your car was parked.

Public transportation

SEPTA bus routes on affected roadways will be detoured from their normal routes beginning at 4:30 a.m. on Sunday, June 1 through approximately 9 p.m. Detours will be posted, and specific route changes are available online at septa.org.
