Philly River Stroll lets you “choose your own adventure” in 2023

The Philly River Stroll has just upgraded its summer Thursdays in a big way. 

Happening weekly until Aug. 31, from 5 to 9 p.m., the indoor and outdoor variety of offerings along the water-side walkway will span a fresh lineup of food and beverage specials from Morgan’s Pier, Moshulu, Spruce Street Harbor Park and Cherry Street Pier, plus discounted attractions, and free live entertainment.

“The Philly River Stroll is a chance for guests to get a taste of the Waterfront, and they can choose their own adventure each time they visit,” said Joe Forkin, president of DRWC in a statement. “We hope to start a new Philly tradition by making it easy to create great experiences for our guests and partners by coordinating accessible opportunities at many waterfront destinations.”

Currently, Thursday night specials include $1 off Hibiscus Lemonade and Summer Sangria and buy one, get one free French Toast Bites from the Garden Restaurant at Cherry Street Pier; $5 Mainstay Independent Brewing Company drafts from Liberty Point and Morgan’s Pier; $6 select beers, $7 select wine and $8 select cocktails from 4 to 6 p.m. at the Moshulu; 3 tacos for $9 at Philly Tacos, plus $6 Twisted Tea cans, Truly cans, and select draft beers; $2 off Hornito’s Margaritas and buy one, get one free French Toast bites from Spruce Street Harbor Park.

Other unique offerings $5 ferry tickets for adults, seniors, students, and children (from 4 to 6 p.m.) for the RiverLink Ferry, a free lock to place on the Philadelphia Hope Fence with the purchase of  the“Hope-Tini Cocktail” at Keating’s Rope and Anchor Bar + Kitchen, and a slew of activations from Independence Blue Cross RiverRink Summerfest including $6 Twisted Tea cans, Truly cans, and select draft beers, $2 off Hornet’s Margaritas, $1 off Chickie & Pete’s Crabfries, a free churro with purchase of tacos or a burrito at Cantina la Martina, buy one, get one ferris wheel rides, buy one, get one carousel rides and buy one, get one free mini golf.

Those who head to the Philly River Stroll this summer season (with 2023 holding the theme of “choose your own adventure”) will also be able to check out circus performers starting at 6 p.m. while walking, DJ sets provided by Q102, plus Cherry Street Pier will feature free resident artist pop-up workshops throughout the sunny season.

And lastly, according to a release, in addition to Independence Blue Cross RiverRink Summerfest offering buy one, get one free tickets for the ferris wheel, carousel, and mini-golf, skaters and roller rink enthusiasts can also book timeslots for free by using the promo code PHILLYRIVERSTROLL2023 when making an online reservation (skate rental not included).
