The perfect combination is coming to Philly—and it’s no, it’s not a steak with cheese or a soft pretzel with mustard. It’s actually The Hoagie Martini.

The new sip comes from Philly’s own boutique bottle brand, Art in the Age, and Fishtown’s fan-favorite sandwich purveyors, Liberty Kitchen. Crafted using genoa salami fat-washed Art in the Age Vodka, Cinzano Vermouth, and garnished with drops of olive oil and a skewered slice of LK’s classic Italian Salumeria hoagie (comprised of Italian cured meats, house creamy balsamic dressing, mild provolone, lettuce, tomato, onion and hellish pepper relish), the “bold and briny sipper” will be available for one day only.

Locals can get their hands on the new creation on October 25 (from noon to 5 p.m.), inside Liberty Kitchen’s dining area, or outside in the adjacent garden (located at 1400 N Front St.)

“We conquered the Weenie Martini, so as a Philadelphia company, the only logical next step was a Hoagie Martini,” said Art in the Age Founder and Owner, Steven Grasse. “Our new vodka is a great canvas for infusions, fat-washing, and all kinds of strange, amazing flavors – which has always been what we try to do with Art in the Age.”

The savory tipple comes out to be $13, and can be paired with any of the bites found on Liberty Kitchen’s menu, which spans different cutlet, kaiser and pizza pie specialties.

“I love a good martini, so when the idea of serving them alongside our hoagies came up, I was all in,” adds Beau Neidhardt, Executive Chef at Liberty Kitchen. “We don’t serve alcohol, but we are BYO!, which makes it even more fun because it’s not every day you get to sit in our garden, crush a hoagie, and wash it down with an ice-cold martini. I think people are going to have a good time because honestly, who can turn down a hoagie and a martini?”

As a release notes, the Martini is made with newly-launched Art in the Age Vodka – a recent addition to the family of Art in the Age Spirits, which also spans Art in the Age Gin, Dunce Straight Bourbon Whiskey, Graverobber Unholy Rye Maple Whiskey, Old Baldy Spiced Apple Whiskey and Siege of Wolves Spiced Rum. These spirits are available in a bevy of state liquor stores throughout Pennsylvania.
