Nik Greeley & The Operators have been making waves in the Philly music scene over the past few years — having opened for George Clinton & Parliament Funkadelic, Gene Ween of Ween, Rusted Root and more.
Their latest music video for the song “Stars” makes its debut today and the concept is to “blur the lines between a dream and reality,” according to frontman Nik Greeley.
“I connected really well with the director of the video, Bob Sweeney, and we both had similar ideas with how we wanted the video to look,” he adds.
In terms of the meaning behind the song itself, Greeley says it’s an ode to the late night thinkers and dwellers.
“Those of us who tend to stay up late, watching bad TV and questioning our existence and the world around, while also believing the universe has something greater for us,” he explains.
So what’s next for Nik Greeley & The Operators?
“I’m going to be working with different videographers & photographers around Philly for a series of singles & video releases leading up to my next EP release in the Spring 2017. I just want to get creative in the studio & behind the camera and release good content for people to enjoy,” Greeley says.
