Police were searching Sunday for two men they say claimed to be utility workers before forcing their way inside a home and attacking a woman.
The men allegedly busted into the victim’s homearound 8:35 a.m. on the 1100 block of South Mole Street, just around the corner from Broad and Washington, police said.
The two suspects, both black males aged in their 20s to 30s, were “impersonating utility workers,” according to the police report, and attacked the victim, a 39-year-old female.
The victim sustained lacerations to her forehead and was hospitalized in stable condition.
Nothing was taken from the victim’s home and no weapons were recovered, but police were hunting for the suspects.
One suspect was described as a dark complexion, tall, thin man with a goatee and wearing all black. The second suspect is described as having a muscular build and a dark blue puffy vest.
