PHOTOS: Ardmore’s Big Dig 2017

On Sunday, June 25, nearly 2000 people attended Ardmore’s Big Dig 2017.

Families enjoyed construction-themed carnival activities, games and interactive experiences, which even included going into One Ardmore Place — a real construction site.

“Big trucks, digging holes and hands-on building stations is what the Big Dig is all about,” says Carrie Kohs, owner of pucciManuli the award-winning toy store and a Big Dig host business.  “Lots of exciting things are happening in Ardmore and events like the Big Dig give us the opportunity to showcase Ardmore to the region.”

Other activities included touch a truck, a digging dirt sensory station, dump truck cookie decorating, build-a-building, imagination playground building blocks and build-your-own snack.

“Ardmore’s Big Dig was a resounding success. Hats off to Carrie Kohs of pucci Manuli who was the mastermind of the event and to her partner-in-fun Vivi Zayas of Lulu’s Casita,” says Christine Vilardo of Ardmore Initiative. “The Big Dig was the first in a series of fun, family events we are planning together with local business owners to entertain our residents and introduce visitors to our wonderful town.”

Expect even more fun in Ardmore this summer with Ardmore Restaurant Week, Pop-Up Movie nights, a Japanese Obon festival and the first ever Main Line BikeRace.
