Last night, the Philadelphia Eagles made history by winning their first Super Bowl ever against the New England Patriots, despite their “underdog” status.
And Philly went wild with joy.
Over 10,000 people flocked to Broad Street last night to celebrate the win, with people dancing, singing and even strangers giving each other hugs and high fives.
Eagles fans climbed up the Art Museum steps and some even managed to climb up some greased poles as well as on top of the awnings at luxury hotels, which wasn’t the best idea, but overall, the revelry was positive.
Fans wore underdog masks and chanted, “E-A-G-L-E-S” well into the next morning, with some even blowing foghorns and some even having Eagles-inspired jam sessions.
The love in the air was palpable and everywhere you looked, the city was smiling.
