Philadelphia police and the FBI are seeking the public’s help in identifying two men who robbed a Beneficial Bank in Kensington this afternoon.
The two suspects entered the bank at 826 E. Allegheny Avenue around 11:42 a.m. While one stayed near the door, the other presented a threatening demand note to the teller.
The men fled on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash.
The suspect who watched the door is described as a tall, five-foot-ten to five-foot-eleven black or Hispanic male in his mid-20s with a light complexion, thin build and a black beard.
The suspect who presented the note is described as a five-foot-seven to five-foot-eight, 160-pound, clean-shaven black or Hispanic male in his mid-20s.
Either or both of the men may have dye stains on their skin or clothing.
Anyone with information on the incident is asked to call the Philadelphia Police Department or the FBI at 215-418-4000. There may be a reward for information leading to the suspects’ capture and tips are anonymous.
