Philly got silly this weekend with two popular events: the Philly Burger Brawl, which raises funds for the School District of Philadelphia, and the Punk Rock Flea Market, one of the most eclectic and popular flea markets in the city.
Check out photos of both events above.
The Punk Rock Flea Market comes to Philadelphia twice a year and features more than 500 vendors selling “old records, clothes, art, music, food, junk, bicycles, stereo equipment, instruments, automobiles, tools, posters, furniture, computers, skateboards and lots of other stuff,” according to organizer R5 Productions.
They’ll be back this December in time for the holiday season.
Meanwhile, the Philly Burger Brawl, now in its fourth year, is a cookoff featuring burgers by dozens of Philly chefs, all with a goal of raising funds for public schools.
“The 2014 Philadelphia Burger Brawl continues to push towards significant fundraising goals, with the aim of bringing new technology to Philadelphia’s public elementary schools,” a statement on the Burger Brawl’s website states. “Participating chefs donate the ingredients necessary to cook their burgers while Rouge supplies the grills, charcoal, space and serving equipment.”
