Over 15,000 people came out for the third edition of Old City Fest, a street festival that celebrates Old City District in Philadelphia.
Job Itzkowitz, executive director of Old City District says of the event:
“The third annual Old City Fest was a big success. Despite some early rain, over 15,000 people came to Old City Fest and enjoyed Old City’s food, art, shopping, culture and everything Old City has to offer.” Chris Younge, owner of The Little Lion, participated for the first time this year by serving food.
He says: “We had the grill fired up until the very last second with St. Louis Ribs and Carolina BBQ Chicken Thigh Sliders. The day started off a little wet but the clouds went away and it was a great day. We got to talk and meet so many neighbors. Old City’s culinary scene is on fire right now.” There was even a fashion show this year. Courtney Hunter, production coordinator for the Old City Fest Fashion Show commented: “Old City’s streets and the fall foliage made for a great backdrop and the weather turned out to be perfect for an open air runway show.” Were you there?
