The Oscars 2018 screening at the Prince Theater was the place to be in Philadelphia last night if you’re a fan of the Academy Awards.
Guests dressed to the nines, walked the red carpet and enjoyed an open bar as well as a savory buffet from 12th Street Catering (which included eats like lobster mac ‘n’ cheese). A dessert buffet followed later in the evening with an assortment of gourmet popcorn (including peanut butter popcorn), macarons and fun-sized candies.
The main event however was getting to watch the 2018 Oscars on the largest screen in Center City, reclining on plush, red seats, which made attendees feel like they were at the real thing — almost. (The perk about this event is that you can actually drink and eat snacks during the Oscars. The only thing that was missing was Jimmy Kimmel’s hot dog gun.)
Lastly, there was a silent auction with experiences like sports tickets, gift certificates and other experiences. Proceeds from the event benefited the Philadelphia Film Society.
