This past Saturday, The Philadelphia Zoo held its annual Zoo Summer Ale Festival. Nearly 1000 guests were in attendance to experience the zoo after hours. An adults-only party, there was locally brewed craft beer onhand, live music and delectable bites from some of Philly’s best food trucks. Guests also got to get a little “wild” as the zoo exhibits were open for exploring and included lions, tigers and bears — oh my! The newest addition to the zoo is not a ferocious beast, however, but The Watering Hole, the zoo’s new beer garden, which had a soft opening at the festival. It will open officially on Thursday, July 21.
