Piazza at the Schmidt’s Commons celebrates Siempre Salsa Philly Week

The Piazza at Schmidt’s Commons really heated up this past Wednesday with the celebration of Siempre Salsa Philly Week — a city-wide event organized by Councilwoman Maria Quiñones Sánchez. The evening featured salsa dancing under the stars and live music from Carlos Sanchez, Diana Oliveras, Juan Garcia & Joseph Cartagena (Orquesta del Barrio) with Special Guests: Anthony Colon, Adriel Gonzalez & Elvis Bonilla. Over 250 people were in attendance.

Want to learn how to salsa? Salsa lessons with live music will return to The Piazza at Schmidt’s Commons in September and is apart of the new programming there led by Krystal Souvanlasy, the new Events and Programming Coordinator.
