Athletes everywhere should be on alert: Eva Longoria is single again.

That’s right sports fans, one of the hottest jock chasers in the game is back on the market after splitting up with Jets quarterback Mark Sanchez. The 37-year-old actress (can you believe she is that old?) apparently was more focused on her career, whereas Sanchez is fixated on making it rain at the club.

According to Us Weekly, they will remain close friends.

“There was no drama,” a source told Us. “They just have completely different schedules and lifestyles.”

Read that last part as Sanchez, 25, wants to ride the spoils of being a young, rich NFL quarterback. Remember those pictures a random girl posted of herself in what appeared to be his hotel room? Yes, there will be plenty more of those.

For Longoria, well, let the Tim Tebow rumors begin!

Superman disses Superman

By now, we are all familiar with Shaquille O’Neal’s rap career. From his debut album Shaq Diesel – I Know I Got Skillz – to asking Kobe Bryant how a certain part of his massive-sized body tasted in a freestyle, the big man has never been shy around a microphone. Most recently, Shaq dissed longtime Superman nemesis Dwight Howard in a video posted on Comedy Shaq.

Jay-Z era begins in Brooklyn

Jay-Z once rapped, “sittin’ courtside, Knicks and Nets give me high fives.”

Get ready Brooklyn because those high fives are going to be pretty costly to come by. When the Knicks and Nets christen the new Barclays Center in Brooklyn on opening night (Nov. 1), no one is getting through the turnstile for less than $225.

The lowest priced ticket (with processing fees) is $225, up from $188 three weeks ago, according to ESPNNewYork — and that’s the cheapest seat in the house. Average price is $819.89. Last April that same ticket was selling for $114.76.

Even if those prices included lap dances from Beyonce and Kim Kardashian (which we’re told they do not) we’re still not sure it would be worth watching the Knicks and Nets play basketball for four quarters. No, check that, we’re definitely sure it wouldn’t be worth it.
