Four are wounded after a triple shooting in Point Breeze overnight.
Police responded to the 1600 block of South 18th Street around 9:35 p.m. for reports of gunshots. The victims said they were sitting on their steps when two black males, one wearing a black hoodie and the other wearing a gray hoodie, stood at the corner of 18th and Fernon streets and began firing at them.
A man, 17, and woman, 23, were taken to Methodist Hospital with gunshot wounds to the foot. A 6-year-old girl caught in the crossfire was taken to the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia with a gunshot wound to the left leg. A fourth woman, 35, suffered shrapnel wounds to her leg and was taken to the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania.
All four are in stable condition. Police have not released a possible motive.
