Police Announce Additional Charges in Case of Society Hill Choker

Police have announced additional charges in the case of the suspected Society Hill choker.

Willie Wyche, 39, is now facing charges of attempted murder, aggravated assault and burglary for an alleged July 16 assault on the 200 block of S. Hutchinson Street. Wyche was previously charged only in the July 10 assault on the 700 block of Lombard Street due to surveillance footage that showed him leaving the scene shortly after the attack.

At least half a dozen similar attacks were reported between June 25 and July 16 to which Wyche has not yet been linked. Investigators continue to seek more evidence.
