A man assaulted his young daughters and tried to stab one with a fork at a Frankford home on Wednesday after an argument, police said.
Dennis Hill, 27, of Staten Island, allegedly attacked his 1-month-old and 4-year-old daughters around 9:46 p.m. inside a home on the 1300 block of Sellers Street.
Hill grabbed both girls, dropped the 1-month-old and then choked the 4-year-old, trying to stab her with a fork before witnesses separated them, according to police.
Witnesses secured Hill until police arrived. The children were taken to St. Christopher’s Hospital for Children, where they were listed in stable condition. The 1-month-old reportedly had bruises to her face, neck, back and arms, and the 4-year-old had no visible injuries.
Hill has been charged attempted murder, aggravated assault, and endangering the welfare of a child, simple assault, recklessly endangering another person, possession of an instrument of crime and terroristic threats. His bail has been set at $100,000. His next court appearance is Dec. 10.
