Police on Tuesdayidentified the man arrested for raping a woman behind a shopping mall in Northeast Philadelphia.
Felix Ramos, 44, of the 9500 block of James Street,is charged with attempted rape, unlawful restraint, false imprisonment and aggravated indecent assault, police said.
Police were called to the scene of a “rape in progress” on June 6 at 6:01 p.m. onthe 9400 block of State Road. There, the 29-year-old victimtold officers “she was sexuallyassaulted in the woods behind the Del Air shopping center,” according to the police report.
The victim gave police a description of her attacker, whom she described as a Hispanic male in his late 30s who was bald with a goatee and possibly riding a bicycle.
Police stopped a male matching the description in a rear driveway on the 9600 block of State Road, who was identified by the victim before being charged.
No court date for Ramos was immediately available.
