Authorities on Monday identified the young man who was killed in a mass shooting over the weekend in West Philadelphia.
Kevin July, 19, who lived in Kensington, died several hours after he was shot multiple times at around 1:30 a.m. Saturday on the 500 block of N. Creighton Street, according to police. He was the lone fatality in a shooting that left eight other people wounded.
The violence occurred during a party on the block, and investigators said 60 fired cartridge casings from different weapons were found at the scene. Victims ranged in age from 17 to 51.
No one has been arrested in connection with the incident, and police have not commented on a possible motive.
