Authorities on Monday identified the 14-year-old boy who was fatally shot over the weekend in Overbrook.
Anthony Pinkney was walking with friends at around 8:30 p.m. Saturday near the corner of Haddington Lane and 60th Street when the group heard a barrage of gunfire, police said. Anthony was struck in the chest and died about an hour later.
He lived in Kingsessing, according to authorities. A School District of Philadelphia spokesperson said Anthony was a not a public school student.
No arrests have been made in connection with the killing.
