Police look for driver of SUV in bus crash

Philadelphia police are looking for the driver of an SUV that fled the scene of a crash with a SEPTA bus.

The Route “R” bus was traveling north on Roosevelt Blvd. at 1 a.m. when it hit an SUV that had pulled in front of it while crossing Rising Sun Avenue.

The driver of the red Ford Edge ran away on foot, said SEPTA spokeswoman Heather Redfern.

Four passengers on the bus were taken to Einstein Medical Center for injuries that were not serious. The bus drive was taken to another hospital, also with injuries that were not life-threatening.
