Police: Man dies after being stabbed, crashing car into Olney church

A car accident in Olney early this morning quickly turned into a homicide investigation when investigators discovered that the driver had been stabbed.

Police said a black man between the ages of 18 and 25 was driving a black GMC when he crashed into a pole, then a building on the 400 block of West Duncannon Avenue around 12:20 a.m. According to multiple media reports, the property he smashed into was a church.

The victim, whose identity has not been released, was rushed to Albert Einstein Medical Center, where he died shortly after 1 a.m. Authorities found that he had been stabbed twice in the chest prior to the crash.

Police have not yet made any arrests or determined a motive. The investigation into the incident continues.
