Police have released victims’ identities in two of yesterday’s shootings.
Shane McCreery, 32, of the 4800 block of A Street, was shot in the stomach shortly before 1 a.m. at W. Tioga and N. Marvine streets in North Philadelphia. He was pronounced dead at Temple Hospital several hours later.
Eric Whittaker, 24, of the 1900 block of S. 21st Street, was shot and killed at 21st and Mifflin streets in Point Breeze. He was discovered inside a parked car around 2 a.m. with numerous gunshot wounds and pronounced dead on the scene.
