Philadelphia Police are asking for the public’s help to solve a brazen daytime shooting that occurred in South Philly last week.
Police said the suspect was seen on surveillance video walking into the 2000 block of South 21st Street, where he appeared to wait on a set of nearby steps.
As a car began to park nearby, the suspect stood up and fired several shots at the vehicle, striking the victim, a 22-year-old man, in the face and arm, police said.
The driver sped off, hitting two other parked cars in the process. He was later treated at The Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania for his injuries.
The suspect was described by police as a light-complected black man, about 20 years old, sporting a close-cropped haircut, wearing shorts, a short sleeved t-shirt, white socks and black sneakers.
Investigators said anyone who sees the suspect should not approach the man and call 911.
