Police Seek Information on “Roxborough Robber”

Police are seeking information about the “Roxborough Robber,” a man who robbed three Northwest Philadelphia banks in the same week.

In the first incident, he entered the Continental Bank on the 7100 block of Ridge Avenue shortly after 4 p.m. on August 30, handed a bank teller a demand note and made away with $1,348. He fled and was last seen eastbound on Domino Lane.

He is described as a 5’10” white
male between 25 and 30 years of age with a thin build and was wearing a red Phillies cap, tan zippered jacket, light blue jeans and gray Nike track
sneakers.

In the second incident, a suspect fitting the same description robbed the Wells Fargo Bank on the 6900 block of Ridge Avenue on September 1, also with a demand note.

The next day, the suspect hit again, robbing the Citizen’s Bank on the 6000 block of Ridge Avenue.

Police ask anyone with any information concerning the case to submit an anonymous tip or to call 911 or the FBI Task Force’s Lt. DelGrippo at 215-418-4000.
