Philadelphia police have arrested a woman who was they say was caught on a surveillance camera stealing flowers from a flower box attached to the porch of a home in South Philadelphia this March.
Danielle Dimeo, 44, allegedly yanked 14 flowers outside a home on the 2100 block of South 10th Street in South Philadelphia shortly after 2 a.m. on March 21. Police said she put the pilfered plants in a large bag shortly and fled southbound on 10th Street.
Investigators received an anonymous tip on May 25 that they say led to Dimeo’s arrest on Saturday.
She was arraigned and released on non-monetary bail Sunday, according to court documents. Dimeo faces charges of theft and receiving stolen property.
