Tinicum Township Police are looking for three people accused of luring “johns” to the Comfort Inn on May 2 for the purpose of armed robbery.
Investigators said a prostitute accepted a date shortly before 6 p.m.
The suspects – two men and one woman – allegedly accosted the prostitute inside the hotel room, held her at knife and gunpoint, tied her up and gagged her.
When the john arrived, the suspects also bound him with duct tape, according to police.
Authorities said the people unsuccessfully attempted to have money grams sent and to access debit cards.
They allegedly kept both the john and prostitute bound and gaggeduntil 10:30 p.m.as the female suspect accepted calls on the prostitute’s phones and tried to lure more men to the room.
All three suspects wore knitted ski masks and gloves.
