Poll claims Michael Vick is NFL’s most disliked

Apparently, fellow celebrities and athletes aren’t reading Mike Vick’s press clippings.

The Eagles quarterback — and reigning Comeback Player of the Year — was voted the NFL’s “Most Disliked Player” in a public survey conducted by Nielsen and E-Poll Market Research, which tracks public perceptions of athletes and other celebrities. The results were posted by Forbes Magazine.

According to the poll, 60 percent of respondents dislike Vick overall, including 70 percent of women and 50 percent of men. The study was limited to active NFL players that record a minimum 10 percent awareness with the public.

“If this were a poll of fantasy football players, you’d see a whole different result,” said Nielsen Sports Vice President Stephen Master. “They love him.”

Plaxico Burress was second, followed by Ben Roethlisberger, Albert Haynesworth and Jay Cutler in the top five. Vick’s backup, Vince Young, was ranked No. 7.
