A new poll from the Alliance for Black Equality shows that current vice president and Democratic nominee Kamala Harris has increased her support by 10 points with Black Gen Z men within the past three weeks.

This latest poll shows that between Oct. 4 and 19, Harris’ support among Black Gen Z men jumped from 59% to 69%. When broken down to Black men in the age range of 23-29, the poll showed extreme improvement for the Democratic nominee, increasing from 49.9% to 62.2% over that same time.

“This poll is an encouraging sign that Vice President Harris has the potential to get to where she needs to be with Black male voters in order to win on Nov. 5. In just three weeks, she has made serious gains with young Black men and increased their support of her by 10 points,” said Dr. Alvin Tillery, co-founder of 2040 Strategy Group and founder of the Alliance for Black Equality.

“These numbers provide evidence that Black men are not holding back their votes from Harris because of her gender, and that Harris needs to keep doing what she’s doing: reminding voters of Trump’s threats to Black life and civil rights. If she continues along this path, I suspect her support from Black men will only keep growing.”

Overall, Harris currently holds 77% to Trump’s 19% of support among Black men planning to vote, according to the Alliance for Black Equality. The possibility of a shift toward Harris’ camp by undecided Black men remains a possibility.

The poll, conducted between Oct. 15-19, surveyed nearly 1500 respondents. The margin of error is approximately +/- 2.6 percent, the Alliance for Black Equality said. Poll results and a full analysis can be viewed here and here
