Philly’s summertime portable beer garden Parks on Tap heads back to Fairmount Park this week to set up shop at the “Playing Angels” sculpture. The spot affords excellent views of the Schuylkill, and plenty of space to take in some of the planned activities, like outdoor yoga on Aug. 13 at noon. As always, the setup features craft beers and wine and a menu of complementary food items.

This is the second of five pop-up beer gardens taking place sporadically throughout summer in Kensington’s River Ward district. In cooperation with Nodding Head Brewery, Kensington Community Food Co-op transforms an empty lot in the neighborhood into a soiree rife with local suds, food trucks and activities for the whole family.

Eighties all-girl rock group The Go-Go’s make their way to Philly on their nationwide Farewell Tour. The show celebrates their nearly 40 years in the business with a string of much-karaoke’d hits like “We Got the Beat” and “Vacation.” Get there early to hear a set by WXPN DJ Robert Drake, who will no doubt get things started with a slew of gems from the ’80s.

The Dell Music Center will sway with baby-makin’ jams Thursday night when neo-soul chanteuse Ledisi joins ’90s R&B hitmaker Keith Sweat. Ledisi, a nine-time Grammy nominee, should debut a couple tunes from her forthcoming eighth studio release, while Sweat treats the audience to sexy classics like “I Want Her” and “Twisted” as well as songs from his just-released album “Dress to Impress.” Get ready to swoon.

It may seem like a staple in Center City, but this week marks the mere fifth anniversary of Chestnut Street watering hole and music venue MilkBoy. They’re celebrating with three nights of shows featuring local acts like Nik Greeley & The Operators, Hardwork Movement and Ceramic Animal.

Temple alum Diplo brings back his annual rager to the Delaware waterfront. The 2016 lineup features hip-hop and EDM acts like Baauer, Dirty South, Swizzymack and a set from Diplo himself.

An intermingling of first-person interviews and vignettes starring puppets tell the story of punk music label Fat Wreck Chords. The documentary follows founders Fat Mike and Erin Kelly-Burkett, chronicling 25 years of growing their grassroots venture. It also features at least one scene showing a dominatrix spanking a puppet, which could be worth the ticket price alone.

Head to the waterfront Thursday night for a free screening of 1988 thriller comedy “Beetlejuice.” Grab dinner from one of the food trucks at nearby Spruce Street Harbor Park, but make sure your hands are free at the end of the film so you can get your “Shake Senora” on.

Philadelphia’s only LGBT theater festival is back with two full weeks of gay stories unfolding on stages around the city. On this first weekend, stop by the opening party at Studio X on Friday, Aug. 12. Then attend the Philadelphia premiere of “My Favorite Husbands” on Aug. 13 and 14. The humorous play follows a man who decides to tend the ultra-conservative wedding of his ex-boyfriend in full drag. Laughs and sashay-shontays ensue.

The latest by [redacted] Theater Company is a choose-your-own-experience kind of play that unfolds for one audience member at a time. You enter the setting — an urban Garden of Eden — and decide which adventure the central character — a transgender woman named Eve — takes. The show happens every 45 minutes from 7-10 p.m. on Aug. 12 and 13; and from 3-6 p.m. on Aug. 13 and 14. True to the show’s premise, you also decide ticket price. There’s a $25 suggested donation.
