Police are on the lookout for a man who punched and then robbed a pregnant woman in Pennsport last week.

Surveillance video released Tuesday shows a gray Dodge Durango SUV stop in the middle of the 100 block of Manton Street next to a pregnant 41-year-old woman on Dec. 22 around 9 p.m.

Suspect was described by police as a black male, medium complexion who was wearing gray sweatpants and a dark-colored jacket. The video shows the suspect running up to the woman, who was walking on the sidewalk, and punching her in the side of the head.

After the woman fell to the ground, the man grabbed her purse and a bag of groceries and jumped back into the SUV.

The woman was treated for facial injuries at Pennsylvania Hospital and was held for observation due to her pregnancy.

Anyone with information is asked to call the police tip line at 215.686.TIPS (8477) or text a tip to PPD TIP or 773847
