President Bill Clinton criss-crosses Pa., including stop at Penn campus

One day after Republican Mitt Romney made a late campaign stop in the Philadelphia suburbs, former President Bill Clinton is scheduled to make several stops Monday in the commonwealth, including the University of Pennsylvania.

Polls show that Pennsylvania is once again in play in Tuesday’s election, despite an 11-point lead for President Obama several weeks ago. Clinton will take part in events in Pittsburgh, Scranton, Blue Bell and Philadelphia.

Clinton’s Penn visit will be held at the Palestra. The event is free and open to the public, but tickets are required. Doors open at 4 p.m.

Meanwhile, President Obama will make final stops in battleground states Ohio, Wisconsin and Iowa today. Romney is expected to canvass Florida, Ohio, Virginia and New Hampshire. Thousands gathered in Bucks County Sunday for a Romney rally, where the presidential candidate was joined by his wife, Ann.
