Girl Scout Cookie season is here, and one Philly locale likes to take this seasonal treat up a notch.

P’unk Burger on East Passyunk will once again support the Girl Scouts of Eastern Pennsylvania with a full menu of hand-dipped milkshakes featuring a few different flavors of the famous cookies. The seven shakes (including some vegan options) will be available at the locale until the end of next month (Feb. 28.)

“Girl Scout Cookies are one of our family’s favorite annual traditions. We love the flavors, the sense of nostalgia and the amazing programs they raise money for,” explains owner Marlo Dilks.

“Supporting the Girl Scouts is so important to me as a female business owner and a mother of seven amazing girls. Anything that helps girls realize their potential is worth investing in. In today’s climate, we have to do all we can to prop up and empower girls to give them the tools to break the glass ceiling and achieve their dreams. I am so fortunate to be on East Passyunk with dozens of other female-owned businesses. I want to inspire the next generation of leaders, business owners, restaurant owners, and entrepreneurs.”

The venue’s Girl Scout Cookie sips span the Toasted Coconut and Caramel Sea Salt Shake (vanilla ice cream, Caramel Delites cookies, chocolate drizzle, toasted coconut and caramel sea salt), the Dark Chocolate Salted Brownie (dark chocolate ice cream with Adventurefuls cookies and sea salt), the Mint Cookie Shake (vanilla ice cream, fresh mint leaves, crushed Thin Mint cookies and a chocolate drizzle) and the Chocolate Peanut Butter Swirl (peanut butter and vanilla ice cream, Peanut Butter Patties cookies and a chocolate swirl.)

Vegan options from P’unk Burger, on the other hand, include a version of the Mint Cookie and a version of the Chocolate Peanut Butter Swirl, plus a Vegan Caramel Cookies & Cream option (vanilla ice cream, caramel, chocolate drizzle and gluten-free Caramel Chocolate chip cookies.)

P’unk Burger also allows those of age to imbibe while trying out their seasonal sips. Adults 21+ can BYO spirits to add to certain shakes for no extra charge. Dilks herself recommends an Irish whiskey like Tullamore Dew for the Mint, a dark spiced rum for the Coconut and Sea Salt option, and either a barrel aged rum or vanilla/flavored vodka for the Chocolate Peanut Butter Swirl.

As a release notes, on top of supporting local troops in South Philadelphia and Dilks’ local neighborhood through cookie sales, every quarter from the P’unk Burger Arcade machine (located in the front of the restaurant) in January and February will also be donated to the Girl Scouts of Eastern Pennsylvania’s Girl Experience and Outreach Programming. Each and every month, P’unk donates 100% of its quarters from the machine to a different charity.

“There are seven shakes, including vegan varieties, each in honor of my seven girls. I am so proud of them. I want them and every little girl out there to know – you will change the world one day,” finishes Dilks.
