Residents who want to drop their trees off for recycling can do so at Streets Department Sanitation Convenience Centers at 3033 S. 63rd St., Domino Lane and Umbria streets and State Road and Ashburner Street. More information is available at http://phila.gov/streets.
In 2005, the last year the city collected trees curbside, residents recycled 62,500 trees. The number has since dropped into the hundreds after budget cuts forced the city to collect at a central location.
