Ray Emery’s first meeting with the Ottawa Senators after a tenuous five-year stint in Canada’s capital city comes tonight when the Flyers host the Sens.
The Flyers come in on a four-game winning streak. The Senators are 2-4-2 in their last eight.
Emery led the Senators to the 2007 Stanley Cup Finals, but was waived the next year after poor performances on the ice and erratic behavior off it.
Now, he’s found new life in Philly. Emery’s undefeated in his past four games and has allowed just six goals. The Flyers have given their new goaltender plenty of support, scoring 18 goals in regulation in the last four games.
Scott Hartnell has led the way with two goals and five assists over that span, while Chris Pronger has chipped in a goal and five helpers.
