Report: Eagles legend Jason Kelce to join ESPN’s Monday Night Football coverage

According to a report from The Athletic’s Andrew Marchand, Eagles legend Jason Kelce is set to take his talents to ESPN and more specifically, their Monday Night Football coverage.

While Andrew’s report notes that ESPN is yet to comment, it appears that Kelce is slated to join one of the highest-profile broadcast teams in all of sports. Monday Night Football has long been a staple of both ESPN and the NFL, and Kelce’s addition as a presumed analyst would be a huge draw for the Disney-owned company.

Jason Kelce retired this past offseason after a remarkable 13-year career with the Philadelphia Eagles. The former 6th-round pick was of course part of the Super Bowl-winning Eagles team in 2017 and made 7 Pro Bowls during his career. Kelce is widely regarded as one of the best centers in NFL history.

Over the past two years, his popularity in the media has sky-rocketed. Most recently, he shocked the world at WrestleMania 40, helping Rey Mysterio to victory at Lincoln Financial Field.

From the launch of the ‘New Heights’ podcast‘, hosted by himself and Brother Travis, to his vitality when supporting Travis in the Super Bowl, Kelce has become a darling on national television. Of course, this isn’t new. His speech at the Super Bowl parade after the iconic win over New England will go down in history as one of the greatest Philadelphia moments of all time.

It’s hardly a shock that Kelce drew offers from the NFL’s media juggernauts, and I’m sure Eagles fans can’t wait to see their beloved center back on TV next season, even if it is in a suit instead of that iconic #62 jersey.
