Report: Eagles will meet Saint assistant

With Jim Mora, Jr. out of the hunt, the Eagles will interview Saints secondary coach Dennis Allen this weekend for their vacant defensive coordinator position.

The 38-year-old joined the Saints in 2006 as assistant defensive line coach and spent the last three as secondary coach.

“It’s a small league, and there aren’t many secrets,” Saints head coach Sean Payton told the New Orleans Times-Picayune. “His reputation has grown, and the word has gotten around.”

In other Eagles news:

Cornerback Asante Samuel and left tackle Jason Peters won’t play in next week’s Pro Bowl.
